Linda Pfeiffer recently presented our first findings about how air traffic controllers mentally represent their air space and traffic at the International Conference on Human and Social Analytics in Malta. The joint work of computer scientists and media psychologists is part of the MACeLot project and won the Best Paper Award at HUSO. Our part of the project is to rethink the visual interface of the air traffic controllers in close collaboration with the German ATC company DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH.
