My new PhD student Linda Pfeiffer recently presented our paper about the current state of HCI in air trafic control with the title “A Survey of Visual and Interactive Methods for Air Traffic Control Data” at IV 2015 in Barcelona. This is basically the kick-off for our new BMBF-funded project MACeLot in cooperation with the German ATC company Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, where we are trying to revolutionize the visualizations and interaction techniques used by air trafic controllers.
